Titan II liftoff was at 11:23a.m.PDT June 24, 2002 from SLC-4 West.
 The Titan II used Monday was on launch alert beneath the ground in
Little Rock, Arkansas from 1969 to 1987 with a nuclear warhead in
                  its nosecone!
 
 


 Engine start is 3 seconds before liftoff. The smoke cloud is blown across the rocket
obscuring the liftoff.
 


 A camera on the backside catches the climb to orbit.
 


 
 


This wide angle photo shows the Mobile Service Tower in the parked position.
 


This photo was taken about 5.25 miles away and shows just how
low the cloud ceiling and fog was at launch time.
 


Slight damage was reported at the pad after the first inspection.
 


Two deer cross the road just outside the SLC-4 complex. There were a total of eight deer in the area.
