Repeaters allow your tiny 5 watt hand held radio to communicate well beyond its normal capabilities. In 1976 the Pasadena Repeater system was started by Bill Cronkhite K6QQN and Marsh Hall K6MEF. This was to provide an open repeater system for the Pasadena, La Cresenta and La Canada area. Since they use different offsets and Squelch tones, you should program your radio ahead.
