!He lived in Paris, Oxford County Maine for the 1860 (Roll 444, p. 19, lines 21-24, spelled "WIMAN") and 1870 (Roll 551, p. 42) census, where he was recorded as a farmer and a day laborer respectively.

! MARR: The Vital Records of the Town Clerk of Paris, ME, LDS Roll 858,544 item 3, page 55 documents that "Mr. Seward Wyman was married to Phobe Carver both of Paris Nov. 25, 1854 by A Wilson Minister of the Gospel." an unofficial copy of thier certificate of marriage is in the possesion of C. Thiel (great-great-great grandson). It reads, "This certifies, that the intentions of Marriage between Mr Seward Wyman of Paris and Mrs. Phebe Carver of Paris have been entered in the Town Clerk's office, in the Town of Paris according to law. Certified at Paris aforesaid, the sixteenth day of November in the year of out lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four. Charles Millen, Town Clerk"
