INDEX
!William Akers was found in Andover in the 1860 Census (Roll 444, p.65) where is real estate was valued at $1000, and his personal property worth $385. He was a farmer, and a Nancy Webster, aged 68 was living in the same residence (I suppose his or her mother) with Mary A, Mary F, William W., Winthrop N. and George H. Also, living next door are John and Nancy F Akers and Samuel and Sarah B Akers, whom I presume to be brothers of William I. Also the 1850 Census (r. 262, p.196) Lists Nancy Webster living with John and Nancy Akers, with Samuel next door. William must have been lieing to the census people..if b. 1811, he'd be 49, not 40 in the 1860 census, and 59 not 57 in the 1870 (Roll 550, p. 17) census 69, not 61 in the 1880 (Vol 8, ED 116, p. 9, line 43) census.
