This photo was taken 80 miles to the ESE of SLC-2 from just below the Ventura Pier
with my Minolta with a 35mm lens, 2:30 minute exposure and 100asa film.
The bright light above the end on the pier is the Moon!



A 600mm lens captures liftoff from the Press Site 3.3 miles away.

This streak photo was taken with a Canon A2 16mm lens
at f8 and about a 3 minute exposure from the Press Site.


The Delta II with its 3 SRB burning pitches over and starts heading down range.



One hour after launch it was really foggy at SLC-2 but the spacecraft was in orbit!
